Dale has been directing and producing in the film industry for over 10 year's now. Dale primarily shoots on 35mm motion picture film but is known to shoot some High Definition 24p as well (depending on the visual style & budget). For your lower budget and non-film productions, Dale is very experienced in the High Definition 24p filmmaking process(F900,Varicam,HVX). Dale artistically prefers to originate on 35mm film, but what it really comes down to is ... what's in your production budget? Check out the behind the scenes clip with Dale Stelly and Three 6 Mafia
on their movie set of Choices II . We shot this movie on 35mm film. Three 6 Mafia intended on production to be professionally shot on 35mm film stock and thats one area Dale Stelly assisted with bringing in Fuji to the ChoicesII production.

Director/Producer:Dale Stelly (midddle) and Director of Photographer, Keith Smith pictured on set of feature film "Single Black Female" April 2006. Keith Smith has shot films for famous directors like Oliver Stone and Peter Bundy. Dale was very focused when directing his thriller genre based film, "Single Black Female" with friend and colleague, Director of Photography: Keith L. Smith.
Dale and his investors' decided it was best to shoot "Single Black Female" on the High-Definition movie camera Panasonic Varicam in 24p mode. "Single Black Female" is a thriller/horror film set to release in 2007 worldwide.
Dale and Keith also wrapped (1-3-05) principle photography on another feature film called "JC in the Hood" Dale directed that film which was shot on 35mm kodak expression stock. "JC in the Hood" is an Urban version of Passion of Christ. This spiritual film contains the solution to many questions for many people living all over the world.
Dale and Keith recently wrapped up principle photography on horror film "Eye's of Darkness" 6-31-05. Dale directed this great film on 24p HD. Dailies are sharp and look like 35mm film. Dale is very impressed with HD 24p acquisition, but he is going to keep shooting 35mm film if budget allows. Dale says, "35mm film just looks and feels better on the screen. Film draws you deeper into the story."
